This year we are planning to run two events back to back. Both will follow the same itinerary, but running two programmes avoids overwhelming the community we will be living and working in.
The proposed trip dates are:
Friday 2nd November – Saturday 17th November
Friday 16th November – Saturday 1st December
If you have a preference as to which travel group you would like to be a part of, please inform us on your application form and we will make every effort to accommodate you.
Your £500 deposit and the £3,500 you raise includes the following during the programme:
• Complete Event Registration and Event Management
• Full support from local guides, The Challenge Worldwide Team and BT Challenge Tanzania Team leaders
• Personal support from Challenge Worldwide and a dedicated fundraising mentor all the way up to the trip, including a personalised fundraising plan
• Return Flights to Tanzania from London Heathrow
• Accommodation throughout the programme in simple hotels, hostels and Bush camps
• On-the-ground transportation
• Complete building Materials & resources for the community projects
• All meals & water provided throughout the programme (soft and alcoholic drinks may be available at personal expense)
• Experienced Local Guides
• A one day unforgettable Safari
• A Treat element – details yet to be confirmed. Part of your £500 deposit pays for this, it is not Gift Aid eligible so you should not fundraise it
There are some exclusions which are not included:
• Personal Travel and Medical Insurance
• Entry Visas for Kenya and Tanzania (aproximately $50 each, currently available on entry)
• Vaccinations (you will need a Yellow Fever vaccination to enter the country)
• Tips for local guides
• Personal Trekking kit
• Travel to and from Heathrow Airport
• Travel expenses for Induction and Briefing days
• Personal spending money (virtually everything is included but allow aproximately $150 for sundries and souvenirs
