‘Challenge Worldwide: Training for Life’ is a bespoke training and development programme designed to inspire you and leave you with the ultimate sense of achievement. This is NOT an experience you’ll find in a holiday brochure! Originally aimed at apprentice development and launched in 2004, the Challenge Programme is now open to anyone who wishes to develop their skills, broaden their horizons and earn a stand-out CV. The programme has been running successfully for eight years, and has built up considerable momentum.
First and foremost, this is education for LIFE with a ‘hands-on’ community project element at it’s core; a project that will significantly improve the lives of others as well as improving your own in terms of the achievements that you will come away with. It’s a full training and development programme, with fully developed and tested teamwork, leadership, fund-raising, project and time management skills leading to credits towards NVQ Level 3 qualifications. If nothing else, you’ll return with increased employment opportunities on your return and memories to last a lifetime!
What are the challenges?
The programme includes a UK-based fundraising challenge, followed by an intense 1-2 week overseas trip involving of cultural, community and endurance challenges in developing but inspirational countries such as Africa, Peru, Ecuador and Borneo. The local ‘social responsibility’ element offers the twin benefits of giving you – the participants – a chance to make a genuine difference, whilst also learning and developing your own skills.
