In 2008 a group of BT Apprentices and Graduates completed two projects in Africa:
1 – Continued funding of a feeding programme set up in the Kibera slums in Nairobi (Kenya) for 150 children affected by AIDs or HIV.
2 – Funding and construction of a school built in a remote Maasai community in Tanzania.
The group were also given the opportunity to climb Mount Meru, which stands at an impressive 4,566 meters.
